SYNOPTIC SITUATION
A high [1028 hPa] near Tasmania extends a ridge across Queensland. The high will
move eastwards and weaken on Friday. A surface trough or weak low is expected to
develop over offshore Capricornia waters, or just to its east, during Friday
morning and should move quickly eastwards, increasing winds and swell over
southern waters.

FORECAST FOR MORETON BAY
Thursday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: to
0.7 metres. Isolated showers increasing in the evening.
Friday: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, possibly reaching 15 to 20
knots at times in the evening. Seas: to 1.0 metres. Rain areas.
Saturday: Winds: South to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching 15 to 20 knots
at times during the morning.
Sunday: Winds: Southwest 10 to 15 knots.
